What is RF micro-needling?

The combination of adding Radiofrequency energy to the Micro-needling procedure further stimulates the body’s natural collagen and healing processes revealing firmer, rejuvenated skin. The heat is delivered precisely and accurately into the dermis (the factory of the skin)
The heat from the device actually remodels collagen and the depth of the needles create a controlled injury to promote elastin cells to regenerate, smoothen and tighten the elastin fibers of the skin.
The controlled action of the RF Micro-needling vertical tip creates micro-injuries to the skin, further stimulating the skin’s natural ability to heal itself and increases the production of new collagen.
In doing so, these micro-injuries encourage and harness the body’s innate ability to regrow and repair the skin through normal physiological processes and the skin becomes rejuvenated and refreshed.

During your RF Micro-needling treatment, your skin will be infused with these powerful products to further enable collagen synthesis and enhance your result.
As always, the product we choose will be bespoke to your skin and your areas of concern.
Preparation and aftercare
To prepare your skin for treatment, you will receive a deep cleansing massage, a mild enzymatic skin peel and your skin will be coated in numbing cream to reduce discomfort.
Your skin is then sterilized and the treatment begins.
You may feel a slight pinching sensation as the needle goes in and out (maximum depth 2mm) the depth of the needle and the temperature of the RF will be adjusted depending on the area we are treating.
After treatment your skin will be treated with an anti-inflammatory mask, containing growth factors and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. You may see some redness after treatment and small sporadic red dots at the puncture points. These should subside anywhere between 3 days and 2 weeks, depending on your own healing capacity.
Makeup, highly active products such as retinol, saunas and hot baths must be avoided for 48 hours. Its is also advisable to avoid the sun.
You will be given a serum to take home to assist the healing process and enhance your results.
Contraindications
Whilst this is considered an safe and non-invasive treatment, not everyone is suitable for RF Mico-Needling. It is required that you attended a free, in house consultation prior to your treatment so we can discuss your needs and asses any possible risks.
